The weather this weekend is expected to be pretty nice and might give you an opportunity to start cleaning up your yard.

If you're in need of a place to get rid of yard waste, three Ramsey County collection sites will be open Saturday and Sunday.

The Frank & Sims, Midway and Shoreview/White Bear Township sites will be accepting grass, leaves and brush.

The annual Holiday Home Tour will take place this weekend in the city of North Oaks. Two homes are decorated by local designers and reflect this season’s current colors and designs. A holiday boutique is also open to attendees.

Plenty of leaves have already fallen...and Ramsey County's collection sites are open to residents who want to dispose of them.

Collection sites in Arden Hills, Midway, White Bear Township, Battle Creek, Mounds View and Summit Hill all accept leaves, grass clippings and non-woody plants for composting.

The emerald ash borer, a beetle that attacks and kills ash trees, is hibernating until spring.

The beetle is inactive between Labor Day and May 1st most years, but since this year has been unusually warm, it was active through September.
