Minnesotans who answered the call to serve their country will soon have the chance to answer the call of local employers. A career fair for Minnesota veterans is coming to Brooklyn Center.
About 3,500 members of the Service Employees International Union Healthcare Minnesota voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to strike. After two days of voting, 91 percent supported the strike option.
If the union calls a 2-5 day strike it would affect:
-Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina -Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis
Both members and nonmembers can join the Twin Cities North Area Chamber of Commerce for a speed networking event.
The evening includes a presentation called “Networking 101: The Proper Way to Network and Follow Up” by Doug Kasper of Unlocking Empowerment. There will also be time to “speed network” and enjoy a cash bar.
Both members and nonmembers are invited to participate in the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce’s upcoming golf tournament.
The “Chamber Challenge” is an 18-hole tournament at Victory Links in Blaine. It costs $89 per golfer or $340 for a foursome, which also includes an award ceremony and dinner.
