Dayton, Minn. DFL Leaders Reach Budget Deal

Gov. Mark Dayton and the Legislature's top Democrats announced an agreement Sunday to raise taxes on Minnesota's wealthier residents and cigarette sales and to spend the extra money on public education and to relieve pressure on local property taxes.

Northwestern College in St. Paul is undergoing a name change.

The school will soon be called the University of Northwestern at St. Paul.

Administrators hope the name will achieve more recognition and bring in more funding.
